Terms of service
The rules for being a member of Next Pillar Academy, in plain English.
Effective [effective date] · Next Pillar Capital LLC, a Delaware limited liability company
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Next Pillar Academy (the “Academy”) is a members-only community and school run by Next Pillar Capital LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Next Pillar”, “we”, “us”). It is at nextpillaracademy.com.
These terms are the agreement between you and us about using the Academy. By joining, or by using the Academy after you join, you accept them together with the Privacy policy and the Code of conduct.
You must be at least [minimum age: counsel] to join.
2. Your membership and billing
- A membership costs $97 a month or $970 a year. Every member sees every course, the weekly live call and the replays. There are no tiers and nothing is locked behind credits.
- Your first charge is when you join. The membership then renews automatically every month or every year, at the price you chose, until you cancel.
- The price, the renewal date and how to cancel are shown to you again on the join page before you enter any card details.
- There is no free trial. People who make a free workshop account at a Next Pillar event get the Workshop for free for a short time (see “Workshop accounts” below); the rest of the Academy is the paid membership.
- You pay on Stripe’s secure pages. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing (the billing portal). Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
If a payment fails. We keep your access while the payment is retried and show you a notice to update your card. If the payment still cannot be collected, your membership ends.
30-day money-back guarantee. To use it, email support within 30 days of your first charge. [How the guarantee applies to annual plans, who qualifies and how abuse is handled: counsel is writing the final rule.]
[Price-change notice terms: counsel.] [Sales tax wording: pending the CPA.]
3. Workshop accounts
At some events (the first was the IRGA keynote and workshop on October 16, 2026) we let you make a free workshop account with no card. It opens the Workshop (the AI policy builder, sample policies, starter prompts and the session notes) and your account settings. It does not open the rest of the Academy.
- When it ends. The free sign-up closes at 11:59 p.m. Central on the day we say on the sign-up page (Friday, October 16, 2026 for the IRGA workshop). A workshop account stops working at 11:59 p.m. Central on Sunday, October 18, 2026. After that it opens only the join screen and your settings. We keep your saved policy and answers; they open again if you join.
- Joining. The rest of the Academy is the ordinary membership: $97 a month, charged when you join and every month after that until you cancel. There is no free trial. You pay on Stripe’s secure page. Cancel any time, online, in Settings → Billing.
- Founding price. A member who joins by 11:59 p.m. Central on Sunday, October 18, 2026 is a founding member. A founding member keeps $97 a month for as long as the membership stays active. If you cancel and rejoin later, you pay the price then in force. [Counsel to confirm the wording of the price promise.]
- The AI policy builder. The policy it drafts is a starting point, not legal advice. Have your attorney review it before you rely on it. Your answers are sent to Anthropic’s Claude, an AI service, to draft the wording. Do not enter client names or confidential details. We store your answers and your policy so you can open them again; only you can see them in the Academy.
4. One person, one seat
Each membership is for one person. You may not share your login, let someone else use your membership, or hand the Academy’s content to people who have not joined. Anyone on your team who wants in joins with their own membership, or takes a seat you buy for them: a seat is for one named person, the person who buys seats is billed for all of them, and taking a seat away ends that person’s access through the team.
To protect this, we show your name and a short code from your email over lesson video, and we may limit how many devices can be signed in to one account at once. If a leaked recording is traced to your account, we may end your membership.
5. What you may not do
- No scraping. Do not use bots, scrapers, scripts or any automated means to collect, copy or bulk-download anything from the Academy: courses, lessons, transcripts, replays, posts, comments, the news board, the weekly report, or the member directory.
- No copying out. Do not record, re-upload, sell, publish or share lessons, replays, transcripts or the weekly report outside the Academy. Take notes for your own use; do not republish them.
- No harvesting members. Do not use the directory or any member’s profile to collect contact details, build lists, or pitch people. The directory shows first name and last initial on purpose.
- No getting around the limits. Do not try to bypass rate limits, access controls, the video watermark or the session limit, or probe the Academy for weaknesses.
- No pitching. Do not advertise your own products or services in the feed, comments or direct messages. See the Code of conduct.
We may slow down, block or end access that looks automated or abusive.
6. What is said in the room stays in the room
The Academy is a private room. What members post, say on calls, or share about their businesses (numbers, plans, problems) is confidential. Do not repeat it, screenshot it, or share it outside the Academy without the person’s permission. This applies during your membership and after it ends.
7. Your content
You own what you post (posts, comments, profile text and photos). You give us permission to host, store and show it inside the Academy, including in search, in notifications and in Academy emails such as the weekly digest, for as long as it is on the Academy. You can delete your own posts.
Only post what you have the right to post. Do not post other people’s private information or confidential business information that is not yours to share.
By joining, you agree that Next Pillar may use your activity on the Academy (what you post and comment, what you read and watch, and how you use the Academy), de-identified, to improve courses and understand how the Academy is used, including with AI tools. The details and limits are in the Privacy policy.
8. Our content
The courses, lessons, replays, transcripts, weekly reports, news items, design and software of the Academy belong to us or the people who teach in it. While you are a member you may use them for your own learning and for your own business. You may not copy, resell or share them (see “What you may not do”).
9. Live calls and recordings
The weekly call is recorded. Florida law requires everyone’s consent to record, so we tell you when you join, and we say it out loud at the start of each recorded call. By staying on a recorded call you consent to being recorded.
Recordings and transcripts are shared with members as replays. If you would rather a segment about you or your business were cut, ask and we will cut it. Contact support or tell the team.
10. Conduct, moderation and appeals
Everyone follows the Code of conduct. Members can report posts, comments and members. Reported content can be hidden until a person reviews it, and some content is held for review when it matches words we watch for. People make the decisions; we do not use AI to remove content automatically.
When we act on your content or account, we tell you. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal in writing and someone who did not make the original call reads it.
11. Ending your membership
You can cancel at any time (see “Your membership and billing”). We may suspend or end a membership, with or without a refund of the current period, if you break these terms or the Code of conduct, put other members at risk, or do not pay. [Refund terms on removal: counsel.]
When a membership ends you lose access to members-only areas. Sections that by their nature should continue (confidentiality, “What you may not do”, liability and disputes) continue.
12. Not legal, tax or financial advice
Everything in the Academy, from the team and from members, is general education and peer conversation about using AI in a business. It is not legal, tax, financial or other professional advice, and no one promises you any result or income. AI tools can be wrong. Check anything important with a qualified professional before you act.
13. Affiliate links
Some links to tools may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up. Every such link is marked beside the link. We only link tools the founders use, and commission does not decide which tools we recommend or how we rank them.
14. Liability, disputes and governing law
[Warranty disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnity and dispute resolution: counsel will write these.]
Governing law and venue: [governing law and venue: counsel].
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When we make a change that matters, we will tell members in the Academy or by email, and the date at the top of this page will change. [Notice period: counsel.]
